C2: Key Media Concepts

This part of the course is a two hour exam. You will answer two questions and be marked out of 100. The exam is worth 50% of your final AS grade.

The exam assesses your ability to:

  •  demonstrate knowledge and understanding of media concepts, contexts and critical debates, using terminology appropriately
  • makes up 30% of final mark
  • apply knowledge and understanding to show how meanings are created when analysing media products
  • makes up 20% of final mark
